Uzbekistan’s Smartcast startup manages nearly 5,000 screens
A project that began by remotely updating restaurant screens is now developing an advertising platform.

Smartcast serves more than 80 customers, with nearly 5,000 screens managed through its software. These figures appeared in a September 9 StartupBase article based on an interview with the startup’s team.
It started with one customer’s problem
The idea emerged from the process of uploading content to screens at Bellissimo Pizza branches using USB drives. Founder Ruslan and his partner built an initial product in two weeks and tested it at one branch. The aim was to update menus and advertisements remotely across all locations.
From screens to an advertising network
Through Smartcast Media, the team wants to connect screen owners with advertisers. Under the proposed model, advertisers choose locations while businesses earn additional income from their screens. AI audience analysis features are also being developed; it is too early to regard them as a fully launched service.
Investment and the next step
The interview noted that the startup raised $200,000: IT Park Ventures and United Ventures invested $100,000 each. The funding is being directed toward the product, sales and international expansion. Saudi Arabia is one of its priority markets. The team is currently focused on finding customers and partners rather than raising another round.
