Uzbekistan’s Smartup secures investment from Plug and Play

On September 2, 2026, IT Park Ventures announced that US venture firm Plug and Play had invested in Smartup. The announcement did not disclose the amount of the new investment.

What does Smartup do?

The platform brings together sales teams, warehousing, finance and marketing processes in fast-moving consumer goods distribution. This enables businesses to manage product delivery to retail outlets and sales processes through a single system.

More than 800 companies

According to the fund, more than 28,000 professionals across 11 countries use Smartup. Its customer count exceeds 800. Users include distributors of PepsiCo, Nestlé and Samsung products — this does not mean that those brands themselves are direct customers.

Where will the new funding go?

The startup plans to expand into the Middle East and North Africa and develop computer vision, logistics optimization and sales conversation analysis capabilities. A B2B commerce platform and financial services are also part of the plan.

IT Park Ventures previously invested $1 million in Smartup. That was an earlier investment and should not be confused with the value of Plug and Play’s new deal.
