Veridion raises $20 million for its business-data platform

Business-data startup Veridion announced on September 16 that it had raised $20 million in a Series A round led by Hoxton Ventures. The company said it will use the capital for its product, team and international expansion.

A digital map of 640 million businesses

Veridion describes its platform as a continuously updated digital replica of 640 million businesses worldwide. The product is intended to help market-intelligence providers, financial institutions, insurers and procurement teams track changes in company activity more quickly.

According to the company, more than 100 organizations use its services. Experian is named among its customers; this statement appears in Veridion’s official announcement.

The round and the team

Hoxton Ventures led the $20 million Series A. Underline Ventures, OTB Ventures, Gapminder, Day One Capital and Launchub also participated.

Founded in 2019, Veridion has more than 60 employees across Europe and North America. Co-founder and CEO Florin Tufan said the new funding will accelerate product development, expand the team and support international growth.

Claims and source

The claims that Veridion can deliver intelligence 52 times faster than traditional sources and cover 30 times more businesses are the company’s own figures and should not be interpreted as the result of an independent audit.
