Cornelis secures $205 million for AI infrastructure
The company introduced its open Active Compute Fabric architecture, which processes data within the network itself.
On September 14, 2026, Cornelis Networks announced $205 million in financing and introduced a new network architecture called Active Compute Fabric. The funds will support the launch of next-generation products and expanded production.
The network does more than move data
In large AI clusters, accelerators can be left waiting for data or synchronization. Cornelis’s proposed architecture aims to reduce this waiting time by performing some computing and control tasks within the network.
Active Compute Fabric combines lossless transmission, in-network acceleration and programmable computing. The company says the solution supports open industry standards such as UALink, ESUN and Ultra Ethernet.
Products and partnerships
Cornelis’s CN5000 product is currently shipping. Customers are testing CN6000 samples, with a broader introduction planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The company is demonstrating a collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies on the combined operation of computing, memory and networking in AI systems. The official announcement did not disclose the financing valuation or the full list of investors.
