Crusoe raises $3.9 billion at a $30.9 billion valuation
AI infrastructure operator Crusoe raised $3.9 billion in a Series F round, taking its post-money valuation to $30.9 billion.
Crusoe announced on September 17 that it had closed a $3.9 billion Series F round. Reuters reported that the deal valued the company at $30.9 billion post-money.
A major investment in AI infrastructure
Crusoe plans to use the new capital to expand data centers, cloud computing capacity and related infrastructure for AI. The size of the round reflects sustained demand for compute capacity used to train and operate AI models.
Reuters noted that the company began in cryptocurrency in 2018 before pivoting to AI infrastructure. Crusoe now belongs to the group of “neocloud” companies offering cloud and data-center services tailored to AI workloads.
What the valuation means
The $30.9 billion figure is a post-money valuation—the value assigned after the new investment. It is not the company’s revenue or profit, but the valuation agreed under the financing terms.
The large round gives Crusoe more capacity to finance capital-intensive infrastructure projects, although data-center expansion remains dependent on energy, equipment and long-term customer contracts.
